Fuel the Fight supports families facing cancer with food, fuel and care, while also helping those grieving a lost breadwinner re-enter work.

Lev Echod Cancer Care advocates for cancer warriors, carers, survivors and children of patients. We do this because we have been through it ourselves. While cancer research and treatment is constantly progressing and survival rates are increasing, there is still a real gap when it comes to understanding the emotional strain and disruption cancer brings into a family’s everyday life. Hospitals and services are often focused, understandably, on medical care, but don’t always have the capacity to offer the ongoing emotional support that is just as vital to recovery. We are here to bridge that gap, offering a familiar, non-medical space where people can be known, supported, and given room to breathe, talk, or just be.
But alongside the emotional impact, there is another side that is often less spoken about, how quickly cancer can create financial pressure. When someone becomes unwell or a parent can no longer work, families can suddenly find themselves struggling to keep up, with everything shifting at once. That is where our Fuel the Fight project comes in. It supports families with food, energy and layered support during illness, while also being there for those who lose a breadwinner, helping them stabilise, rebuild, and find their way into or back into work when they are ready.
Our aim is to support families not just through treatment, but through everything that comes with it, recognising that the impact of cancer goes far beyond the hospital, and making sure no one is left to carry that alone.
