Bristol WORKS

Make quality experiences of work available to all young people Help young people to move successfully into education/employment

Help make a difference and volunteer for this project

Aim

Make quality experiences of work available to all young people Help young people to move successfully into education/employment

WORKS wants to equip future generations with the passion and skills to make positive life choices regardless of their background.

WORKS recognised that there are more opportunities for young people to engage with the working world than just a traditional work experience. Using an experience of work framework , WORKS collaborates with schools, provisions and employers to develop a programme of activity for students that is both aspirational and showcases the diverse opportunities available within the city. Further information about the type of activity that has been developed can be viewed on the WORKS webpage news section. WORKS are supporting Year 7 – Year 11 students predominantly but do work on targeted projects with Year 12 and Year 13’s in some instances.

Employers are asked to pledge support to the project via a framework of activities. Our team then work with schools, provisions and employers in Bristol to match employer opportunities with the needs of the young people and to continue to raise awareness about the importance of quality work opportunities for every young person across Bristol. WORKS attends and evaluates every session developed.
