Aim

Without your help our Foodbank will struggle to help local people as it is costing around £2,000 per month, which we can no longer sustain

Who are we, and what is our project about?

Deal Foodbank & Pantry supports over 1000 local people each month who are either in a crisis situation facing food poverty or are struggling with food bills.

This year we have seen an increase of 65% vs 2024/5. More and more people are reaching out for help due to the economic climate but obviously food and financial donations are down as food costs have soared by +40% and everyone is noticing the increase now.

Many crates in our warehouse are empty and there are lots of basic items like biscuits, long-life milk and spreads that we have none of!

This means we are spending around £2,200 per month on food to sustain this need we are faced with, which our small charity cannot sustain without support.

Why are we crowdfunding?

Without your donations, our Foodbank will struggle to help local people as it is costing us around £2,000 each month purchasing food, which is not sustainable.

How we’ll spend the money raised

All donations raised will be spent on buying essential food items for our Foodbank and Pantry: items such as long-life milk, shampoo, pasta sauce, cooking oil and tinned goods.

How you can help

There are three simple ways to get involved and support our project:

1. Make a donation

Every pledge gets us closer to our goal and means we can help more local people. All money raised will be spent on essential food purchases for our foodbank and community pantry.

You can also donate food items in your local stores and many schools and churches. Call 01304 728428 for more information.

2. Spread the word

Share our project with friends, family and your wider network. The more people we reach, the more likely we are to succeed and

3. Volunteer with us

If you’d like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch through the ‘Contact’ section using the subject "I want to volunteer my time or expertise" on our project page.
