This project has been nominated by The MacDonald Group in the Aviva UK Broker Community Fund in 2024.
Aim
Electricity costs are killing our Community Hub which is vital to the Local Community.
We are a Local Community Group who run a Community Centre which is vital to the Local Community in the area and the soaring Electricity Costs is killing our dream of keeping the Community Centre open.
All ages use the facility such as Youth Group, OAP Groups, Meetings, Police Scotland use it for training days as so the Westerns Isles Health Organisation and Ambulance Service plus many fitness groups and much more.
The Community Centre is the Hub of the Island and of the Community and to lose this service due to excessive energy costs would be devastating for the Community.
