We are raising money to help vulnerable individuals and families in our community overcome financial hardship.
Grandads Front Room CIC is here to support people in our community who have nowhere else to turn. Based in Bognor Regis, West Sussex, we are a community-focused, not-for-profit organisation providing a one-stop worry shop for people facing some of life's toughest challenges.
Our volunteers are committed to helping individuals and families who have fallen through the gaps in existing support systems. We believe nobody should have to face a crisis alone, and everyone deserves dignity, security and a safe place to call home.
Every week, we support around 25 families and individuals experiencing hardship, including people affected by homelessness, domestic abuse, illness, sudden loss of income and other unexpected life events. Through furniture, white goods, second-hand household goods, emergency shops and practical support, we help people rebuild their lives when they have nowhere else to turn.
Our vision is to create a more resilient community where people can access the help they need without judgement, financial hardship is prevented from escalating, and usable goods are given a second life rather than going to waste.
By providing essential household items and affordable second-hand goods, we help families reduce living costs while encouraging reuse, reducing unnecessary waste and making better use of resources.
We are struggling to make ends meet ourselves at the moment, as we are struggling to cover the storage costs we need to store furniture for reuse, on top of the van costs and the shop rent.
At Grandads Front Room CIC, we are more than a second-hand shop. We are a lifeline for people who have run out of options, a place where community matters, and a reminder that nobody should be left behind.
Together, we can build a community where people feel supported, household resources are valued, and everyone has the opportunity to move towards a safer, more secure and sustainable future.
