Aim

We are an award-winning organisation committed to the life chances of marginalised communities and individuals in Sheffield.

Our passion is empowering groups and individuals to find their voice and take leadership, to influence and inform a more inclusive society, through targeted and deeply personalised education and confidence building projects. We help and support the local community in any way possible and work provide services to marginalised communities across Sheffield. We are accredited to provide welfare rights advice through the AQS, immigration advice through the OISC and educational advice by Matrix.

"We started in 1993 as a volunteer led organisation providing peer-to-peer advice and have developed into the trusted community anchor organisation for Firvale. We remain connected to the Firvale community through our staff and volunteers, many oh which live locally.

"We now support more than 7,000 people each year: with advice and advocacy work and through our health, early years, employability and education projects. Our clients are diverse with around 70% of Pakistani and Roma heritage and a focus on health, education and employability. The Arab and White British communities each make up approximately 10% of our client base. The remaining 10% consists of people from up to 50 ethnicities. Our participants are most likely to be aged 25-65 and around 60% are female. There can be few families in Firvale who have not used our services.
