Aim

We are raising funds for Food Fair, our mobile food bank that brings fresh fruit, vegetables, dairy products, and healthy essentials directl

Who are we, and what is our project about?

Teens Dreams is a youth charity creating safe spaces, positive experiences, and practical support for children, young people, and families facing hardship across London. Alongside recreational activities, mentoring, and wellbeing support, we work directly with families struggling with the rising cost of living and food insecurity.

Our Food Fair project was created after listening to families who told us that while they could sometimes access tins, pasta, and cupboard essentials, fresh food was much harder to find. Parents repeatedly told us they wanted to provide healthy meals for their children but were struggling to afford fresh fruit, vegetables, dairy products, and other nutritious essentials.

Food Fair is our mobile food bank, bringing fresh produce and dairy products directly into communities where they are needed most. By removing travel barriers and providing healthier food options, we help families access the ingredients they need to prepare balanced meals at home.

This project aligns with Aviva's Financial Wellbeing theme by helping families stretch household budgets, reduce financial pressure, and avoid having to choose between healthy food and other essential expenses.

Why are we crowdfunding?

The cost of living continues to place enormous pressure on families with young children. Healthy food is often the first thing to become unaffordable when household budgets are stretched, leaving parents worried about nutrition and children's wellbeing.

The money raised will allow us to purchase fresh fruit, vegetables, dairy products, and refrigerated storage equipment, as well as cover the costs of delivering food directly into local communities. Every donation will help put nutritious food on family tables while reducing the financial strain many parents experience each week.

Our vision is simple: that no child should miss out on healthy food because of their family's financial circumstances. With your support, we can make fresh food more accessible, help families stay financially afloat, and ensure more children have access to the nutritious meals they need to grow, learn, and thrive.1781002019_food_fair.jpg

How we’ll spend the money raised

Every pound raised will help us bring fresh, healthy food directly to families who need it most.

Funding will be used to:

  • Purchase fresh fruit and vegetables for distribution through our mobile food bank
  • Provide dairy products and other nutritious essentials for families with young children
  • Cover fuel, transport, and delivery costs to reach communities with limited access to affordable fresh food
  • Purchase crates, cool bags, and storage equipment to keep food fresh and safe
  • Support volunteer expenses so we can continue delivering food efficiently and cost-effectively

By taking food directly into communities, we can maximise the impact of every donation while reducing barriers for families who may struggle to travel to food support services.

How you can help

There are three simple ways to support Food Fair:

1. Make a donation

Every contribution helps put fresh food on a family's table. Whether large or small, your donation will make a real difference to local children and parents.

2. Spread the word

Please share our project with friends, family, colleagues, and community groups. The more people who hear about Food Fair, the more families we can reach.

3. Volunteer with us

From sorting produce to helping with deliveries, volunteers play a vital role in making Food Fair possible. If you'd like to get involved, we'd love to hear from you through the Contact section of our project page.

Together, we can make healthy food more accessible, reduce financial pressure on families, and help ensure every child has the opportunity to thrive.
