Who are we, and what is our project about?

Fenland Families & Baby Bank CIC is a community organisation based in Wisbech, supporting families across Fenland with free and low-cost baby and children’s clothing, nappies, equipment and other everyday essentials.

With the help of our volunteers, we provide a warm and welcoming place where families can access practical support without judgement. We believe no child should be without clothes on their back or shoes on their feet, whatever their family’s circumstances.

Our project is about keeping this vital local service open and accessible to the families who need it.

It directly supports Financial Wellbeing by helping families reduce the amount they need to spend on essential items for their babies and children, easing pressure on already stretched household budgets and helping families make their money go further.

Why are we crowdfunding?

We are trying to raise £5,000 to help cover five months of rent for our Wisbech premises.

Our shop is at the heart of what we do. It gives families somewhere local to access affordable and free essentials, ask for help, meet others and find out about additional support available within the community.

With household costs continuing to put pressure on families, services like ours can make an immediate difference. A bundle of clothing, nappies, baby equipment or other essentials means money can instead be used towards food, heating, household bills and other unavoidable costs.

By helping us keep our doors open, you are helping us continue to provide practical, dignified support to families across Fenland.

How we’ll spend the money raised

Our £5,000 crowdfunding target will contribute towards five months of premises rent for the Fenland Families & Baby Bank shop in Wisbech.

Covering this essential core cost gives us greater stability and means we can continue:

• Providing free and low-cost baby and children’s essentials
• Supporting families experiencing financial hardship
• Offering a welcoming community space
• Signposting families to other local services and support
• Making donated items available to families who need them most

Every contribution helps protect a service that local families rely on.
