To install interactive SMARTboards to make our Recovery College courses more inclusive and engaging for people learning about mental health.
Mindspace is a mental health charity based in Perth and Kinross. We run one of Scotland's few Recovery Colleges, providing free group courses for adults and young people to understand more about mental health and provide people with tools and techniques to better manage their mental health. Our courses range from one-off 'understanding...' sessions to longer courses on mindfulness, recovery, employability, training peer support workers, and many more...
We are open to everyone, whether you are experiencing mental health challenges yourself, or you know someone who is, or you are a professional or student in the field of mental health, or you simply want to know more about it. We also involve people with lived experience to help us create our courses.

Mental health is increasingly being recognised and talked about, and we are seeing increasing numbers of people attending our courses. Our students are great, and we have a fantastic team here at Mindspace! But while we constantly work to improve our courses, we have not been able to do the same with the equipment we use to deliver them - we desperately need to upgrade our IT facilities!!
We need your help! We are crowdfunding for £2,500 to install two SMARTboards in our two training rooms at our premises in Perth. These would replace our current flipchart (yawn) and laptop-connected-to-a-tv-with-sound-issues-and-trip-hazard setup!

We aim to make our courses as inclusive and accessible as possible and improve the learning experience of our students. The new SMARTboards would enable us to use different teaching methods to suit differing learning styles and we could use utlise many more resources. And crucially, they would be more fun! The SMARTboards would make our courses much more engaging and interactive.
We welcome everyone here at Mindspace - please help us to deliver the best, and most inclusive, service we can! Thank you!
