Aim

So many benefits to children spending time outdoors. With lunch being the longest break in the school day we're hoping to go alfresco!

The St William's Association are a group of passionate volunteers who come together to raise funds for St William's Primary School. 

The funds we raise make St William's an even better school for our children. We work closely alongside the staff and children to decide what the funds are best used for.  A previous project has seen a Pirate Ship be built into the Playground, for endless hours of fun! 

The children have asked for an outdoor eating area and we all agree this is a tremendous idea. We all know Fresh Air is good for us. Improved attention, memory and concentration are just some of the benefits eating outdoors can offer. There is currently one dining hall to cater for over 400 children on rotation during the lunch period. We'd love to be able to improve the dining facilities by installing an outdoor dining area. 

The planned work has been quoted at £20,000. From previous fundraising, we have successfully raised half of this amount but are relying on further kind donations to get the project up and running. 

This fundraiser is aiming to raise £500 towards the outdoor eating furniture.
