Help us make Perthshire Pride 2021 bigger and better, more inclusive, sustainable and fun!
Due to the current circumstances, Pride has been postponed to August 2021. Rest assured that this event will be more stunning than ever, thanks to your support.
In light of the current situation, we decided that some of the money raised will go towards organising online social and events for the LGBT+ community and its allies in Perthshire. Social isolation challenges our mental health, particularly so for people who don't benefit from a strong support system.
At Perthshire Pride would like to do everything we can during this period -however long it may last- so that people in the community can feel loved and supported. We hope you will support us with this and join us on our new online ventures.
The first £500 raised would help us provide:
- Vehicles for the parade to help those with mobility issues
- BSL interpretation throughout the event and be equipped with a hearing loop system
- An improved sensory space in partnership with Perth Autism Support
The second £500 raised would help us provide:
- Water refills
- Eco glitter and confetti
- Sustainable catering and advertisement
The LGBT+ community was always here in Perthshire, with little coverage or celebration. Entirely run by volunteers, Perthshire Pride started in 2018 as a team of four, which grew along the way to become an extended family of talented and resourceful people.

Perthshire Pride has run two successful Pride events. Last year saw the first Pride Parade in Perth, led by LGBT+ right activist Sir Ian McKellan.
This year we are celebrating the 20th anniversary of the repeal of Section 28 in Scotland, and LGBT+ awareness is finally officially part of the school curriculum. However, there is still much to be achieved.
Our main stage will be named after Ross Scott, who dedicated the last months of his life to raise HIV awareness within our community.
