Should we raise an extra funding it will go towards the purchase of a van.

We aim to purchase van, to enable us to expand our services into communities in dire need. We have already raised £15,147.

What do we do?
The Pet foodbank service provides pet food and pet items for:

Why do we do this?
With the aim of breaking the poverty cycle of people sharing their human food with their pets, causing the owners to suffer from malnutrition.
The relief of mental anguish of being unable to afford to feed their pet or worse having to give up their companion to a shelter and breaking their promise to their companions to love and care for them forever.

We are passionate about pets and have worked in animal rescue for many years and understand that sometimes people can suffer a financial crisis, so we are here to try and make a difference. We believe every pet should stay with their family and not be put into animal rescue centres through no fault of their own. We firmly believe no pet should go hungry, nor should their owners go without food to provide their pets with food.

How do we do this?
Pet food bank service user quotes:
“I would never give up my dog; he’s my life. He barks whenever anyone approaches the tent, I feel safer because of this. I prefer my dog over humans, and he’s my best mate, I couldn’t be without him”.
“My dog means the world to me. It was my Mum’s dog, but she died and so I inherited a dog.”

We are currently working with Covid-19 support groups to deliver food those who cannot afford pet food or are elderly and isolating.
Why do we need a van?
We currently cover Cardiff and Newport, but with your help we can expand our services to cover more areas of deprivation and reach even more pets in need of a good meal.
A van will not only enable us to collect and distribute more pet food and bulkier items such as pet beds, but can also be used as a mobile pop-up pet foodbank, especially for areas with high or additional needs, for example the valleys when they flooded.
