Donate to support rewilding projects across Scotland to lock away carbon, boost nature and support local communities.
There is growing scientific consensus that the next 10 years will be critical in addressing climate breakdown. This is a frighteningly narrow window.
The good news is that nature has a ready-made solution. It’s called rewilding.
Healthy ecosystems such as native woodlands, peatlands and wetlands, soak up huge amounts of CO2. When these systems function as they should, they can also reduce the impacts of flooding, drought and wildfires.
SCOTLAND: The Big Picture works to drive the recovery of nature across Scotland through rewilding.

We are raising funds to enable three new rewilding projects across Scotland. The projects will take place across our Northwoods Rewilding Network (NRN), a Scotland-wide chain of landholdings, all committed to creating more nature-rich, ecologically restored land.
Your donations will be spent on rewilding projects that lock away carbon and boost nature, including:
If we exceed our target, we have a bank of additional rewilding projects ready to deliver.

Last year we participated in the Aviva Community Fund and as a result, funded a number of rewilding projects, including:
"Compared to just a couple of years ago, life is returning to our small farm in the Cairngorms. Please support SBP to drive rewilding across Scotland because so much more is possible." Gale Lee, NRN Partner

Change can happen surprisingly quickly. Whilst we can’t predict the future, we do know that our rewilding projects will catalyse the establishment of functioning ecosystems that will benefit nature, climate and people for generations to come.
