To provide the centre with new equipment and resources for our service users. Each room is designed especialy to cater to different needs.
The charity was set up after the founder's son was involved in a catastrophic road accident, where he was ejected from the car’s rear windscreen leaving him with a severe brain injury, partially sighted, registered blind and with epilepsy. Once leaving hospital over the last few years and the realisation that there was little help or support for the disabilities he had been left with mainly because they are hidden disabilities. We can help support people with brain injuries and related disabilities feel part of the wider community and give them the best opportunities possible.
Our goal is to open a community based day centre providing the best quality care and activities possible, the centre will also be a base for the charity to run the back of office for the care support and domiciliary work.
Our vision of 'The Point' would be one where we provide a wide range of therapeutic services throughout the day, a place where people can come and enjoy what's on offer or just to come and have a chat. Our dedicated staff are on offer to help and support each persons individual needs.
The point can offer a wide range of activities including workshops for therapeutic and progressive learning with tutored guidance and support, from the creative arts to practical life skills and learning opportunities our service users can come along get inspired in group classes exploring music, art, drama and cooking, or simply relax in a space of their own.
With the money raised we can design each room with the best quality resources to offer our users, tailor make packages and give back the sense of belonging to people who very often feel isolated and alone. Not only will our day centre offer help to the user but their wider family to, by offering support and signposting them to the right place if they need extra support.
