W Denis Insurance Brokers for Candlelighters

We’re raising money for Candlelighters because they provide vital support to children with cancer and their families across Yorkshire. Every year, more than 150 children in the region are diagnosed with cancer, and Candlelighters helps families cope with the emotional, practical and financial challenges that follow.

What makes them such an important local cause is that they support families throughout their entire journey – from hospital stays and counselling, to financial grants, family support workers and respite opportunities. They also fund pioneering childhood cancer research to help improve treatment and outcomes for future generations.

As a charity that receives no government funding, Candlelighters relies heavily on donations and community fundraising. Supporting them means helping local families facing some of the most difficult circumstances imaginable, while ensuring children and young people across Yorkshire receive the care, support and hope they deserve. 

On Saturday 25 July, a team from W Denis will be taking on the Tough Mudder challenge, a gruelling endurance event designed to test physical strength, resilience and teamwork.
