The social enterprise company was founded to provide vulnerable children, young people, adults and families affected by unemployment, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) difficulties and SEND, with safe, valuable and trusting therapeutic and well-being support so as to improve their life chances, economic prosperity and overcome social isolation.

The organisation's strategic and operational services are led by Sandra Govender who presents over 30 years’ experience of providing inclusive learning and education programmes on a local and international level including as CEO of a Special Schools Trust.

The Trust Board is made up of 4 Directors who have more than 90 years’ team experience, skills, knowledge and understanding of working with children, young people, and families with social, emotional and mental health needs as well special and additional needs.  The team are passionate and committed to supporting children, young people, adults and families to developing new and existing skills to tackle the challenges of society and life and strive to become responsible and healthy citizens.

Through its alternative provision, community support and training services, AES seeks to prepare children young people, adults and families for healthy family functioning, social cohesion and successful adult life, including the world of work.

AES delivers holistic and therapeutic support designed to nurture, inspire and develop the mind, body and spirit of the individual and families through meaningful connections and experiences.

All monies received will be spent on improving not just the physical environment of the new building but also extending our provision to include support to more beneficiaries and introduction of additional community activities.
