Aim

Aviva Reporting and Benefits C&M team: Fundraising for Citizens Advice

Our team

We are the Reporting and Benefits C&M team who work in various Aviva offices around the country, including Eastleigh, Norwich, London and York.

As the Reporting and Benefits C&M team, we are covering the distance between the Eastleigh Aviva office and the York Aviva Office (offices where a number of our team work).

Our team will be walking and cycling a total combined distance of 274 miles around our local vicinities in order to raise funds for Citizens Advice whilst exploring and promoting the use of local cycle and walking lanes.

About Citizens Advice

We can all face problems that seem complicated or intimidating. At Citizens Advice, we believe no one should have to face these problems without good quality, independent advice.

Across the country we are seeing increased demand for our services and we’re not able to support everyone that needs us. Clients are coming to us with more complex issues that are taking longer to resolve, stretching our capacity even further. More people than ever need our help.

Last year:

  • We helped 2.66 million people with one-to-one advice
  • We supported 1.87 million people via telephone
  • We helped 729,000 people via email
  • Our website had 60.66 million page views

How your fundraising will help

With your help we can support the people that need us most. Any donations we receive will go towards our area of greatest need - helping more clients. The support we offer will empower clients with the knowledge and tools so that they can solve their own problems in the future.

  • £15,000 helps to pay for a caseworker for 6 months to support clients with complex and multiple issues
  • £10,000 helps to pay for the running costs of an advice bus for 3 months, which will visit deprived or rural areas where there is no other Citizens Advice presence, to provide direct support to clients
  • £5,000 helps to pay for training for 6 advisers who will go on to deliver advice and support to our clients.
