Willis Insurance and Risk Management fundraising for Brainwaves NI

Brainwaves NI was set up in 1992 by patients and carers who recognised the immense need for information and support surrounding brain tumours. Michael, a member of our team, is currently off work after two Brain Tumours where found and is currently receiving treatment, and as an organisation, we wanted to raise money to support people and families who are in a similar position. Brainwaves NI Provide information, emotional support, social connection and signposting for children and adults affected by brain tumours, and for their families and carers. They also fund research into the causes, treatment and cure of brain tumours, with a strong local partnership at Queen’s University Belfast.

We have been doing several activities throughout the year, including Abseils, Marathon Relays, office dress-up and Down days, Bake fairs, sweepstakes, and other in-office events. We plan to host other events in the office for the rest of the year and are also working on a fundraising initiative to run in tandem with our Christmas Party.
